Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 2026
In short: Rakko doesn't collect any personal data. The app has no account, no ads, no analytics and no server of its own. Everything you enter in Rakko stays on your iPhone.

What's stored on your iPhone
To work, Rakko stores the following on your iPhone:
- the name you give your buddy
- your things for today and planned ones with their day and repeat, each with their small steps
- the thoughts you put in your brain dump
- favorite pebbles, days together and how cozy Rakko feels
- your settings, such as color theme, decor and reminder time
- whether Premium is unlocked, and a few technical markers, such as whether you've seen the introduction
This data never leaves your device, and we have no access to it. The widget and the Live Activity show data from the app, also only on your device. If you delete Rakko, this data is deleted too.
If you use your iPhone's backup (iCloud Backup or a backup on your computer), iOS includes Rakko's data. That runs through Apple and your own account, not through us.
Backup file
In Settings you can save a backup. Rakko then creates a file with your data, without your purchase status and without reminders. The file goes wherever you put it, for example in Files, in iCloud Drive or via AirDrop to another device. We never receive this file.
Notifications
Rakko schedules reminders directly on your iPhone. There's no server that sends notifications. Rakko only asks for permission when you turn on a reminder or start a free week. You can turn off notifications anytime in iOS Settings.
Purchases
You buy Premium through the App Store, and Apple handles the payment. We don't receive any payment details or information that identifies you, only sales reports without your name. Rakko checks with Apple on your iPhone whether Premium is unlocked. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to the purchase.
Statistics and crash reports from Apple
If you turned on “Share With App Developers” in iOS Settings under “Privacy & Security” → “Analytics & Improvements”, Apple provides us with crash reports and aggregated usage numbers. They don't identify you. You can turn this off there anytime.
If you email us
If you send us an email, we use your email address and your message to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Our mailbox is hosted by Gmail (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), and Google may also process messages in the USA. We delete your message once your question is resolved, unless legal retention obligations require otherwise.
This website
These pages are hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, the time and the page requested, to deliver the page and protect it from attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We don't use analytics, ads, or fonts or content from other providers.
Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). Since we don't store any data about you, this mainly concerns emails you've sent us.
We don't sell or share your personal information.
Children
Rakko is made for adults. It doesn't collect data from children either.
Changes
If Rakko changes in a way that makes this policy inaccurate, we'll update it. The version on this page applies.
